Trash & Restore
When you delete a project, it moves to Trash instead of being permanently removed. Trashed projects remain recoverable for 30 days, after which they are automatically purged.
Viewing the Trash
On the Dashboard, a Trash link appears below your project list when you have trashed projects. Click it to expand the trash section.
Each trashed project shows:
- The project title and genre
- How many days ago it was trashed
- A warning if it will be permanently purged within 7 days
Restoring a Project
Click the restore button on any trashed project to move it back to your active project list. All content, Story Bible entries, and version history are preserved.
Permanent Deletion
Click the delete permanently button on a trashed project. You will be asked to type the project name to confirm. This action cannot be undone.
Permanent deletion removes all project data including acts, chapters, scenes, version history, Story Bible entries, and cover art. This cannot be recovered.
Auto-Purge
Projects that remain in the Trash for more than 30 days are automatically and permanently deleted the next time you visit the Dashboard. A warning label appears on projects approaching the purge deadline.
