Account Settings

Manage your profile, security, and email preferences from the Account Settings page.

Accessing Account Settings​

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner of any page.
  2. Select Account from the dropdown menu.

Update Your Name​

  1. Edit the Name field on the Account Settings page.
  2. Click Save.

Your updated name appears immediately across Proseweave.

Change Password​

Password changes are only available for email/password accounts. If you signed in with Google or Apple, the password section will not appear — manage your password through your SSO provider.

  1. Enter your Current Password.
  2. Enter your New Password (minimum 8 characters).
  3. Re-enter it in the Confirm New Password field.
  4. Click Change Password.

For security, password change attempts are rate-limited to 5 per minute. If you exceed this limit, wait a moment before trying again.

Forgot Password​

If you've forgotten your password, you can reset it from the login page:

  1. Click Forgot password? below the password field on the login page.
  2. Enter the email address associated with your account.
  3. Click Send Reset Link.
  4. Check your inbox for an email with a reset link (check spam if you don't see it).
  5. Click the link and enter a new password (minimum 8 characters).
  6. Confirm your new password and click Reset Password.

You'll be redirected to the login page where you can sign in with your new password.

For security, the forgot password page always confirms the request was sent — even if the email isn't registered. This prevents others from checking whether an email has an account. Reset links expire after 1 hour and can only be used once.

Password reset is only available for email/password accounts. If you signed in with Google or Apple, reset your password through your SSO provider instead.

Newsletter​

New accounts are subscribed to the Proseweave newsletter by default. The newsletter includes writing tips, product updates, and Proseweave news.

To change your subscription:

  1. Find the Newsletter section on the Account Settings page.
  2. Toggle the switch to subscribe or unsubscribe.

Your preference is saved immediately — no confirmation email required.

App Version​

The current Proseweave version is displayed at the bottom of the account dropdown menu. Click your avatar in the top-right corner to see it (e.g. v1.0.0). Clicking the version number opens the What's New modal.

The version updates automatically with each release — no manual action required.

What's New​

After each release, a What's New modal automatically appears the first time you load Proseweave. It shows a categorized summary of new features, bug fixes, and improvements included in the update.

  • The modal appears once per version — after you dismiss it, it won't show again until the next release.
  • To reopen it at any time, click your avatar and select What's New from the dropdown, or click the version number at the bottom of the menu.
  • Press Escape, click the backdrop, or click Got it to dismiss.

Share Your Feedback​

After you've been using Proseweave for a week and completed your first AI generation, a feedback prompt appears on your Dashboard. It invites you to rate your experience from 1 to 5 stars and optionally share what's working or what could be better.

Submitting a review earns you bonus AI credits — a small thank-you for taking a moment to share your thoughts.

Dismissal options​

tip

If you dismiss with Never ask again, you won't be prompted for a review again — but you'll also forfeit the credit bonus. Submit before dismissing if you'd like the credits.

Account Info​

The bottom of the page displays read-only account details:

  • Provider — how you signed up (email, Google, or Apple)
  • Member since — when your account was created
